Update of the oil painting: Girl on a Sofa

http://johnsstudio.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/0012.jpg?w=774 Wordpress

I'm rather infamous for starting a painting and then setting it aside for weeks, or months and then go back to it after working on others for a while. Anyway, here's an update on this one. Its an oil on canvas about 16 x 18 inches. As always, sorry for the glare, I'm not a photographer ;)

Well, I keep a couple in the living room and rotate them with the ones stacked on the sofa every once in a while, but honestly, I’ve never tried to sell any…maybe this year anyways, this one still has a ways to go yet

You would be surprised how many people might actually buy your paintings. I sure as hell would. They are really that good.

When I get a big enough stack I’ll try to put on an art show. There are several local art shows coming up after February…I’ll let you know if I ever sell any, lol

That’s OK by me…you’ll just have to get in back of that long line that stretches around the block and wait your turn like everybody else

A photographer could NOT do any better than you do! Your paintings are soo very lifelike that it is difficult to believe they are paintings. They are just great!!! big smile

Hey, I wanted to buy that painting… You should be selling your work. I used to help mom set up her paintings for showings in the mall here. It was a lot of work, and the look on her face when her paintings sold was priceless. This is beautiful, I remember when you first started it.
